100 Mile House is located in the South Cariboo Region of the Province of British Columbia. It is located along Highway 97, in south central BC.
Most essential goods and services are available in 100 Mile House, but when a larger centre is occasionally needed, 100 Mile House residents will travel to Williams Lake or Kamloops for shopping and restaurants, concerts and tournaments, healthcare specialists etc. Williams Lake is located 92kms north of 100 Mile House (1 hour drive), and Kamloops is 198 kms south (2 hour drive). As reference, Vancouver is located 456kms south west (5 hour drive).
The closest regional airports are located in Williams Lake (daily flights to Vancouver), Kamloops and Prince George (330kms north - 3 ½ hr drive), and international airports in Kelowna - 350kms SE (4 hour drive) and Vancouver. The closest airport is the South Cariboo Regional Airport in 108 Mile. Although they do not offer scheduled flights, it’s a busy hub for private planes and helicopters, as well as the air ambulance.
